Dr. Katie W. Powell, Assistant Professor Educator, University of Cincinnati
"During my doctoral program at UARK, I gained not just exposure to the field of rhetoric,
composition, and technical and professional communication, but where I might fit in
it. The close-knit nature of the program allowed me to align each class and project
with my interests and my work full time with the Honors College. Additionally, I was
exposed to an array of thoughts, including feminism, storying, and technical communication.
My dissertation and resulting job search was a reflection of all these, and allowed
me to see myself entering the field as a professional."
